Don't know if this is the right place...But is Gordon Keith of "Look Ahead" fame, the same Gordon Keith who founded Steeltown Records, the Jacksons' first label?

Cheers!

Doubt they would have had the same success without the Motown Machine behind them, and, didn't Berry offer Joe a better deal ??

Tony

Joe went behind Gordon Keith's back.

Gordon wasn't the only owner of Steeltown was he? Was Ben Brown something to do with it as well other than recording on the label.

It is the same Gordon Keith. You can talk to him on facebook if you want.

Steeltown actually had 5 different (partial) owners at different times. Maurice Rodgers, Gordon Keith, Lou Washington, William Spencer, and Ben Brown. By the end the label was ultimately only owned by Gordon Keith.
