October 24, 200519 yr Basic black and pearl 'There ll come a time there ll come aday' Great record , I presume they're English as I have the above tune on the Bus Stop label , a label which I only thought Paper Lace recorded on !!!
October 25, 200519 yr Jackie Edwards and the Chants for sure. Busty Springfield stuff - What's it Gonna be?, Dusty in Memphis. A lot of 'beat' groups released quite acceptable soul-type material - the Action, Spencer Davies Group or the Small Faces, fr'instance . A lot of UK soul is a bit 'chicken in a basket' for my tastes. And don't forget Soft Cell!!
