I have a copy of the above on yellow Canterbury. Also, Freddie Chavez on dark blue Look. I think the'yre both pressings but not sure. Both are in good nick. Could anyone advise on value?

tempos was issued on yellow canterbury( more of a darker yellow moulded on label not styrene with numbers 660-504A stratched in the playout)

edward hamilton( white background red squares and lightish blue lettering)

any good

Don't know a current value on the Tempos. But i can tell you the yellow label is it's rarest format (IMO).

If I remember rightly, the boot was a black & white photostat of the label, so the multi-coloured check means it's OK. Anyone confirm that?

Yeah you're right, any coloured label of Edward Hamilton is real. Should get £125-£150 for it. Can't believe anyone would pay £150 for the Tempos though, I'd sell it for £50-£60.

I have a vinyl yellow issue of Tempos.

JM's booty book doesn't mention a yellow boot? It only mentions the mauve and light blue boots. JM also doesn't mention an orig on yellow vinyl either (only the yellow styrene west coast orig)

The details of mine are-

It is virtually identical to the original description (also in the booty book) of the younghearts 'togetherness' Canterbury yellow vinyl orig copy. It has 66c-504a scratched into the run out groove in a 'childlike' writing that can be felt with the fingers. There is also a ridge about 1/3 of the way in from the centre. Can anyone confirm whether this copy of Tempos yellow label on vinyl is orig or a boot? For info - the 'real' yellow rare one that JM talks about is the styrene one with the delta number 6xxxx (not sure of the number) - had it once and foolishly sold it to Flanny (wish i'd kept it) CheersSteve Plumb

Steve, here's a coincidence, I bought some pressings out of Discount Disc in Stoke yesterday, one was the Dushons, in the run off it has scratched into it "S.Plumb".

Wonder where thats been kicking about for the last few decades?

There was no burn on it when i sold it so you can't have a refund

On the 'name in the run out groove' thing, that's only something i personally did up to about 1976/7.........i think it was something everyone did back then? Thanks god i didn't go for that other fad back then and put my initials on the label. Bet there's loads of people wished they hadn't done that back in the day!

Anybody do owt wierd to their 45's that they wished they hadn't done?

Therefore the F Chavez is a boot.

The E Hamilton is I think an original due to colours and length of ownership as advised.

The Tempos has all the numbers mentioned above plus an MR (I think) initial with a circle around it. This has been stamped and is not scratched in. There's also an MS scratched in but that could be me....slap on wrist.

In any event, I bought them all because they were brilliant dancers and I think remain so after not hearing them for 20 years. Re-discovering my record boxes and this and other web sites after this period has been bloody excellent.

I feel a bit like a 4 year old at his first day at school but, what is the difference between styrene and vinyl?!
