Well maybe not brand new but it's the first time I've been sent it - you get an email from Ebay saying your bid on an item has been cancelled, anyway it tells you to click on a link to see the reason why and you have to log in with user name and password...

had the same myself regarding cxd items i had not bid on----xmas is coming the b-----ds are after quick dosh

i have had a couple stating "where is my item , if i don't get it soon i will report you to ebay "

if you click on the response button your knackered....i had to look at my buyer list to make sure i never sold them anything first

bit sneaky this one

all the spoofs from claiming to be from Ebay or Paypal are very easy to spot ( they just dont look right) and remember these 2 companies will never ask you for 'sensitive information'.

Also ALWAYS forward these spoofs to the corresponing address below:

spoof@paypal.com

spoof@ebay.com

spoof@ebay.co.uk

Keep safe everyone thumbsup.gif

On a similar theme, have received emails from "btopenworld" saying .....your password has expired, please change, then, your account suspended cos I didn't do anything ,then a couple more similar.

Haven't even opened them, just moved to a folder in case required.Nothing happened to my btopenworld account of course..........W...kers!

Pete,

Sorry to trouble you, I have just won a CD on the bay. Quite new to it. The C.D has cost me $4.00, the seller is trying to tell me that he wants $17.00 postage. Cant be that ? I am sure he is trying to make money as item did not make what he thought it should ? I have not paid yet.

Personally I'd just email and ask him why the postage is so high and why it wasn't mentioned. If you don't get a satisfactory answer tell him you aren't prepared to pay that amount, a cd should cost no more than $4 to post airmail. Then if threatens you with negative feedback, tell him you'll recipricate and you will also be contacting ebay for 'advice'. I got charged $12 post for a cd recently, I did pay it, it arrived in a jiffy bag with something like 2 euros postage if that, the wrong address as well. Seller was a twat so I reported him to Ebay for selling Bowie and Beatles bootlegs whistling.gif no longer a registered user

Yeah to re iterate other replies, contact him telling him that you have colleagues dealing in records etc from the states and the average postage is$4 plus say $1-1.50 packaging,in all the dealing I've done(380ish) I still had a dealer asking $20 for ONE SINGLE....knocked him down to $8,hope this helps, merry xmas.
