My first recollection of The Intruders was "I'll Always Love My Mama" huge 70's hit,but I have seriously under-estimated this amazing group............................"C OWBOYS TO GIRLS, TOGETHER, UNITED,LOVE IS LIKE A BASEBALL GAME,SLOW DRAG,WHEN WE GET MARRIED, SAD GIRL, CHECK YOURSELF", AND MANY MORE BRILLIANT TUNES FROM THIS WONDERFUL GROUP, SADLY THE LEAD SINGER LITTLE SONNY PASSED AWAY, whistling.gif a soul night without the INTRUDERS "never"

Win, place or show (she's a winner), Cowboys To Girls. Two of their best.

just checked out a few websites inc sales ones where you can play stuff, found loads of stuff by the intruders, and i now realise that after about 30 years of buying soul records i do not own one 45 by this group and i reckon i should start buying now, any relatives reading please give cash for christmas, up and down the ladder, where has that been all these years? must have seen loads of copies around and assumed it was an average cheapie, wot a sound!!

Warm & Tender Love is the one for me. Fantastic stepper from their 80s effort.

:(Had it for a few years now after buying it blind in 2nd hand record shop, as you say wot a sound, and to my mind just perfick for today :(

The Intruders are the greatest and for me Sonny's strained croaky vocals were always my favourite.

The b side to 'Cowboys to Girls' - TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME is sublime northern and one of my all time top songs.

I LOVE THE INTRUDERS !!!!!!

Try the b-side to Check Yourself - IT MUST BE LOVE, absolute cracker. If records were valued on how good they were, this would be about £300!!!!!!

Alan

The Intruders version of A Love Thats Real (Eptones) had the odd spin, most notably by Colin Wood.

"all the time"for me.... :(

Try I'll Always Love My Mama Part 2, but only on British TSOP and I think US Gamble issue.

Fan 'bloody' tastic

Dazz

I've got only the one record by them in my collection, Pray For Me on Gamble - 20p car boot buy, years ago worth 100 times what I paid and then some!
