I'm sorry to say but this night has been cancelled. There is an abundance of major soul events on during June and in our opinion the scene cannot sustain the amount of events being promoted so Lifeline has decided with missing April we will take an extended break and miss June as well.

Thats a shame but understandable given the circumstances. Not an all nighter person myself but i know Lifeline has been going some time and for this to be cancelled due to the plethora of other one of nights/dayers and "jubilee" events just stinks. The likes of Cleethorpes and Brid have now been established for some time but i agree the add hoc nights put on by wannabee promotors who could not care less about established nights needs to be addressed in some way.

Good luck with your next Lifeline, although i am sure you wont need it!!!!!!!!!

real shame best venue in the country ' yes loads venues in june are on every where 95% are wannabe dj's playing boots and reissue's and clueless crowd attend them. was looking forward to LIFE LINE will now stop in that weekend.

One of the very few nites (in the uk ) that excites me these days, Maria has booked us a hotel too, so guess i'll have to take my golf clubs now 8-)

The LIFELINE EVENT was the best night out for years, and I was realy looking foreward to this event. The descision not to go ahead or as you stated being cancelled, is understandable if those who promote other events understand your logic? Doubt it very much.

They have failed to understand the real fraternal spirit that you make this gesture, it is quite clear to me, such an admorable attitude, goes one way only their way? As a indervidual I have attended All-Nighters from 1969 or as I like to say, From the WHEEL to KEELE. Before moveing to Wolves 32 years ago, I would travel 300 miles at a weekend to be at the best All-Nighters, and I can state that this is up with the best, so I hope that the gesture made is in the interest of it's patrons, and future nights go ahead,

Personally I think it is a bad move, but by doing this I hope the message get's through to to all, that the MIDLANDS can run and atract a top quality ALL-NIGHTER, I HOPE THE NEXT NIGHT IS A SELL OUT, and history does not repeat it self.

Sorry to here about this one, out of the multitude of events around Lifeline is one of the best.

I really am not being antagonistic but your event has a good reputation so why not put it on, you get your followers and surely the other events that you're bemoaning will suffer not you?

Most will probably choose the weekenders for their entertainment and they are not cheap.

august is probably even tougher than june IMO thats when most go away for summer holiday. School holidays etc etc.

the soul scene is full of old farts whose kids are probably not at school anymore so they don't have to pay through the nose for expensive summer holidays in august

Thanks for the reply, and I fully understand were you are coming from, and I for one hold yourself as a great ambassador for the RARE SOUL SCENE, and have benefited from your generous understanding of the meaning of SOULFULNES, and it is because of this I made my comments about the event being cancelled,

Politics is not your BAG that's cool, but it would be a good thing if the Promoters of the events, that are still being run on that night, show some respect by acknowledging your actions, Also a few top DJs offering their services to ensure the event is packed out,

As we all no UNITY is STRENGTH, I really hope that this event in 1 years time will be as popular as the 100 CLUB, It has every thing in place to get there?
