Well the postie dropped two packages on my desk yesterday

One was a nice 45 on Brunswick from 1977 which cost me about 5 bucks

Touch "Me and you" Brunswick 55538

The other was a minty white label demo of Tony Hestor on Karate which cost slightly more than 5 bucks.................................

Temperature yesterday was about 100 degrees F

Anyone guess which one the postie left out in the sun to fry before delivering it.............. thumbsup.gif

Another one to frame and stick on the record room wall

Only saving grace out of yesterday was picking up a copy of Tony Lampkin on JEMPKL Soul on EBay - one real nice 70's 45 I've been after for a while :good:

Nice one Miff, Fontella Bass has a tremendous voice. If you don't already have it, watch out for "Safe and Sound", also on Chess and should be cheap. Her best imho. :lol:

Funky Nassau on Alston was one of the first import new release records I ever bought, very exciting at the time. Don't have it any more but lots of memories so not too "dark side" for me mate!

Well after that little lot you can guess that I'm pretty damned nervous when the next one gets delivered - lo and behold its a little 45 in a big assed LP mailer - its been banged and bent a bit and when I open it up there are no stiffeners just a 45 wrapped in newspaper - how it survived I dont know - the fact that it was heavy duty vinyl helped - give me vinyl anytime !
