It's the flip to Dr Love

edited to say sorry mate as you most likely knew that. I misread your post.

It's always been known about I suppose but who played it to a crowd ... erm dunno

I heard it first on the Goldmine "Soothers & Movers" CD about 15 years ago. I agree, top track and (as I get older) my preferred side to Dr Love.

Dave

Early 100 club spin..but Terry Jones was playing this in the 70's.

I guess as far as the UK is concerned it's Trevor Churchill, he worked for EMI when the Capitol Discotheque 66 series came out.

Chris, I was curious as to when it got dance floor action seeing as it would have been known as the flip to Dr Love, and how it's tempo would have been received. So really looking for the jock and the place where it might have gained early popularity.

Late 90's was when it started to get popular / noticed / preferred

Always thought it was Searling myself back in the mid - late 80's when he was on Red Rose Radio , I remember him playing it and advising people to play the flip of Dr Love

Drinking again Dave?! Lol.

Brilliant record. I purchased a gorgeous condition US issue about 3 years ago without even knowing the "B" side (I'm a good 20 years or so behind most people on here!) which for me immediately became the "A" side. Just played it now real loud after a couple and still makes me shiver with the quality and depth of soul.

So for me it was "discovered" in my house!

Cheers, Steve.

You know what, that might be where I remember it from. I used to listen to Searling on Red Rose religiously. Might have even got a spin or two at the Halfway House.
