Sad news indeed

 

"Genesis" and "Friction" are amongst the greatest albums ever made. 

 

Along with fellow group member, Anita Louis, she defined my kind of gritty, southern style soul so perfectly suited to the Stax ethos.

I don't think a month goes by when I don't dig out "I'll be the other woman" and play it, and I don't see this habit ever stopping.

as already mentioned 'Friction' is probably my favourite soul lp. I love the way they changed the lead vocalist on the album and they have such different voices,another sad passing.

More sad news, love the Soul Children to bits, "Whats Happening" is one of the greatest pieces of music ever, "Midnight Sunshine" another big fave of mine
