I am sorted now , but how much do you want for it ? I've got a mate who may be interested

Atb. Paul

I thought that the USA and Euro versions were different. My copy is german/french. Again, I thought that the USA version was a type of live recording and the Euro one's were studio recordings.

I may be talking complete rubbish (not for the first time!) - in which case I'll apologise in advance.

Cheers

The German CBS 3720 releases seem to be the version most folks go for, this was on either multi-color or black vinyl. There is a really stripped down and tinny version on a French CBS 3098 release with "Uptown" on the flip, then there's the U.S. Columbia release that often get's called the live version, It's also available on the 33rpm 7" U.S. juke box EP and the  12" album "Time has come today".  Take ya pick......................

If you play the German & US release one after the other they sound almost identical except for the US version they have added a sort of 'live' atmosphere....

The German issue seems slightly slower than all the rest

The french issue seems the same as the US 45rpm without the background "live" noise

The US 33rpm seems to have enhanced drumwork in the break late on

I have the French release & never considered it tinny, but maybe I need some cotton buds ? :g:

As promised in the PM Paul, here's a scan. Click to enlarge and have a good look at the vinyl.

EDIT: Obviously the vertical lines are the scanner and NOT on the record.
