Doubt it, but whoever puts together the background music for the BBC cookery shows must be.  Nigel Slater's show has a few Motown tracks on normally.

As does Paul O'Grady dogs show....some great tunes and funk Bros tracks featured.

Also The Hairy Bikers have some soul tracks playing in their series..

Add Emmerdale to that list...

Dave Hairy B claims to have had a Wigan membership and went regularly.....

this current wave of soul music in TV shows is down to trend via licencing consultants.  simple as that.

There is obviously someone in the BBC who is a massive NS fan and is sneaking them in whenever he or she can.   Bravo and keep 'em coming!!!!
