Heard yesterday the sad news that Salty (Prestwich, Manchester. ) died last week.

No funeral details as yet .  

 Salty was a Top , Top , man , well known all over Manchester and further afield  , with a deep  lifelong passion  for soul music ( and  Man United ). Pretty much lived and breathed the scene back in the day .  

 In recent years I spent several evenings in his company at T.S.O .P . at The Longfield suite and last time I met him he told me he was running a soul night at the Turf Tavern .                   

Was a Wigan Regular , a Proper lad , and no one that knew him could have anything but good to say about him . I'm choked up writing this.
