Hi everyone, I just read on Soul Tunes that  Kashif has died aged 56.

Far too young. RIP. He made some great music.

What a shocker. He was only just performing at this year's LSW in Blackpool and was in very fine voice. So glad to have had the chance to hear him live and grateful for the music. RIP.

Completed gutted!  A very sad day for me.......his music was a major influence on me, not least due to his debut album being pivotal in my transition from 60's Northern into Modern Soul, but beyond that, all of his music since then until now.

We lost a good one here for sure....

Yep. Some of  us had already  turned to  the  dark side before the Kashif  album  but a influential artist  all the same. Sad news for sure.  

One of the best 80ies - but not only - artist. His early works were stunning and also his production job. I really like also the 12" with "Bed you down". RIP

tragic news. such a talent . Finally got to see him live at the Hilton Blackpool weekender and wasn't disappointed.  came through a bad childhood to leave a lasting legacy of great music of his own and his productions on other artists. will be playing something in the the modern room at Keighley on Saturday .
