Anyone got the runout details for Larry Atkins?  I have 1968 and if that is the case Brenda was first with the backing?

Brenda was first .... I think we can look to Jerry Long for the recycling of the backing track

Kent Harris worked at Jobete Music LA. in 1963-66.  His name appears as a writer on the Highland record.  Maybe HE was the person who got hold of the background track?  He was certainly a friendly colleague of Hal Davis and Marc Gordon.

Larry Atkins has Delta 72741 - should make it late July 1968...

Apologies, but should have elaborated....Where did the backing track originate from....Studio wise?

We can never be absolutely sure but I would suggest Armin Steiner's Sound Recorders Studio in L.A.

Jerry Long would have been the link between Motown and Kent Harris given that he was producing and arranging on some of the Jobete tunes e.g. Paris ... Sleepless Nights (Doc)
