November 14, 200618 yr Not a lot of people know this, but Derek was half of the Top Notes, who did the original version of "Twist And Shout" in 1961. The other half of the 'group' was none other than Howard Guyton! TONE

November 25, 200618 yr "You better go" i think Nev Prefer this Hi These are the only two I have by Derek Martin "Sly Girl" came out on a few different labels and Is an extremely good record to have in the collection, at a fairly low cost too, definitely value for money. November 25, 200618 yr The flipside to "Breakaway", entitled "Take Me Like I Am", is probably my fave with him. Superb deep soul track. Apart from that, both sides of his "Daddy Rollin' Stone" 45 are hard to beat. But he released a whole stack of good records so let's just embrace them all.
November 25, 200618 yr If You Go - derek martin - sue 12001 refosoul Fantastic tune this Chalky, and from the other side "Count To Ten" steve
November 25, 200618 yr Count To Ten - derek martin - sue 12012 refosoul following from Chalky's post with "If You Go" the flip side, which I think is another fine Derek Martin tune... Steve
