It has 8009 etched in dead wax on too darn soulful sideย and 8008 plus a small pressed R in other side. Any guidance appreciated ๐Ÿ˜Š

Looks like a proper original. Has not been booted to the best of my knowledge. The paper label is authentic. The print on the label would be very difficult to replicate. The paper label is stuck onto styrene;ย the original is not made of vinyl. I do notย own a copy of this record, but it looks OK. If you check the copies sold on Popsike, I suspect one or two may confirm the matrix details. Hope this helps.

That's a definite original. The R is actually a B for Bestway, the factory which pressed this. Most of the Bestway demos have labels on the wrong sides of the record. Demos pressed at Monarch on the west coast are correctly labelled.ย

Thanks for the information ๐Ÿ‘

I have checked and labels are on correct sides with matching numbers to dead wax suggesting this was pressed at Bestway but a more unusual copy

Unsure whether you are saying this is or isn't original ???

it was booted on a pink label..renfro... look at the music publisherย on your 45..theres the connection... i still think your copy has the labels the wrong way round..i can tell by the dead wax.. yours is ย 100% original tho
