Have had so much fun reading and contributing to the Philly International tread. This made me think about TK and all of Henry Stone's other labels.

Although he started out in the 60's, his biggest output has to be about the same time as the Philly International label. Infact you could say apart from Motown, he was Philly's main indie competitor.

So hard to find tunes from his stable and sound clips if you've got them. This compared to many other areas is a bit of a gap for me so, i'll read and listen with interest.

Sadly, I sold the Jewel Bass in 1989 (yet ANOTHER dumb move on my part! - Is same as David Ruffin on first WB album for those who don't know) Haven't heard the Jeanette Holloway side... Name and label sound good though...

What's the going rate for this now?

A copy of Jewel Bass sold on eBay about a week ago for $23, so hasn't moved much in value over the past couple of years, £10-£15 should still get you one.

Yes I got it, Manship still has it listed at £75 on his site so go figure. But either way great tune, that should be played out more.
