As the year ends, just time for a quick catch up 'What were the highlights of 2022 for you' type topic...

Be it, say events attended, 'got it at last' purchases, dj spots (own or others), radio shows, podcasts, live acts, films, documentaries, vinyl releases, own projects related, etc etc

Guess may have been easier to simply say any soul related highlights of 2022...

Believing that Soul music ignored by the mainstream ,released for the first time, could be this good in 2022 , let's hope there's more in 2023, Heres a toast to all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes to get these tunes released, Cheers to you all .

 

 

Highlights for me were traveling the country to various events and meeting people who love our thing. Downside the need to restrict the records to a small selection when there's thousands. 

John ( & Tracey's) Browne's Soul Kitchen in Tunbridge Wells.  A few Sundays every year, the best soul music I have heard played out in decades.  

Highlight for me was this event starting back in September.

A Lowrider/Downtempo/Deep (call it what you will) Soul night.

Just simply real soul music in the company of some real nice people.

At last something in Amsterdam for us misfits.

Any Soul Sourcers looking for a break in Holland this year the dates for 23 (so far) or on the flyer.
