FEEL - LET'S ROCK - SUTRA 1982

The Mello Souls - We can make it - Mello. Not only has it a great intro but then crash bang wallop into one of the best Northern Soul records of all time.

The Majestics I love her so much

Montclairs Hung Up

Major Harris Call me tomorrow

Gladys Knight & the pips - No one could love you more, TMG 864

Barbara Lynn - Im a good woman, Tribe

Harold Melvin - Get out, Landa

i like a tune to start off a bit slow then all of a sudden bang right into uptempo

Here goes my credibility down another couple of notches!! . . . . it surely has to bottom out soon!!!!

Booked in for therapy . . . . but meantime I just love it.

It has to be . . . . I Want You Back by the Jackson Five.

Max up the volume and Click here

Moses Smith - The Girl Across the street. some song like my fav's knowing as soon as it kicks in i am off to the dancefloor

Well, if your gonna admit to that then I'm putting up two Chi-lites..."Have you seen her" plus (for gods sake, you've gotta give more) "power to the people" Ade

Many greats here already, a couple more that I have always loved.

We've Got To Keep On - The Casanova Two

Psychedelic Soul - Saxie Russell

Keep on Keeping On - N F Porter

And off topic, the best 'bad' intro to a sh**e record

And Suddenly - The Cherry People

Dont forget good old Gill Scott-Heron featuring Brian Jackson

and The Bottle

Invitations - look on the good side

Was it subtitled "A-Uno, Dos, Uno Dos Tres Quatro" then? I do love that count in - and I'm sure it's been sampled many a time over the past decade on other things!

If only I could be sure ...Nolan Porter one of my all time faves

Sam Dees Lonley for you baby ........ditto

Mand

I know the riff is stolen from "I'll be doggone", but:

Little Johnny Hamilton "Oh how I love you" (Dore)

always floats my boat

How about Angie Stone Wish I didnt miss him

Yes yes backstabbers intro

Still good tho eh?

Mand

A mouldy oldie, but nothing beats the raw power of There Was A Time - Gene Chandler.

Quite agree with that as my friend and I make a dash for the floor. The Tomangoes- " I really love you" is another favourite intro along with my all time favourite Willie Mitchell's "That Drivin' Beat"

Pat

Kinda A Slowie Song But The Intro To Gloria Lynne's "Speaking Of Happiness" Is My Cuppa

Nobody's mentioned "Love has taken over me" - Herbert Hunter. Storming, crash, bang, wallop of an intro!

On the jazzy tip I like Don't Be Blue:Jackie & Roy sampled by all and sundry but still a great tune!.
