Anyone on here clued up on 12" white label House dj mixes? do they go for much to the right people?

Been asked to look at a collection for a mate of mates widow I haven't had the chance to go through in detail but I spent around half hour there yesterday & there's a good fair few of these in there along with a whole host of other stuff.... ranging from blue note reissue LP's, the Trojan Tighten Up Compilation s, Stones between the buttons on decca red label, loads of import stuff....

Got to be around 1000LP's and some dealer has offered her £400 all in which I reckon is taking the piss a bit.

45's wise theres a fair few Trojan, Uk Tamla (mainsteam) and Contempo Rarities stuff too....

Maybe, if they are collectable US House label stuff.

If they are just white label funky house/euro bang bang bollox then I'd say no.

Tricky one, depends what they are, some of the early Chicago and Detroit house white labels go for alot, but UK stuff is very hit and miss, we normally sell stuff like that, retail at about £3-£5. As for the Trojan compilations, any I have I put on ebay tend to get £10-£15 for them. The single artist Trojan lp's stuff goes for more, but again depends on artist.

As for the dealer, unless he specialises in what she has for sales he will just looking at them for a fast turn around. Your looking at them indiviually and sold as such will get possibly more money, but will take alot more time and there will still be stuff left at the end. Also as someone who likes the music you will always view things more emotionally and as such put a greater value on them than maybe a dealer would as cold buisness view.

Don't know if any of this helps
