I thought you where cheap,would love mr Coefield seems like only yesterday i was playing it at the 100club,cant remember what happened to mine think i sold it for a oner.......one of the best records ever.

If a records is worth £425 it is this Pete,fantastic..........anvil soul at its very best,i`m just a bit envious and sad that i let it go. :D

Last one i seen for sale was K Minshel about 6/7 years bakc a demo £100,thought it was too cheap so left it ph34r.gif

According to Popsike there have been 30 copies on Ebay over the last 3 years and 11 were demos

The Startones 7" has a wonderful group harmony flip called "one rose"

I reckon the original spin of Brice Cofield was Hanley Top Rank 71/72 Keith Min.... biggrin.gif .......ive just checked.....mines an issue......"money cant even make a good man go wrong".....it doesnt get much better.as a dancer.... thumbup.gif

Yes, it was one of those tunes that hadn't been booted, hadn't been played for ages, so I started reviving it at Yate and it just grew from there. Funny thing is, when I first heard it at the Cats, I didn't even like the darn thing! :rolleyes:

I can tell you for definite that Minshull tried reviving this at Wigan (tape is May 77) and it cleared the floor.

Doesn't surprise me at all Pete, there were many things that packed the floor at Yate and probably St. Ives that would have failed at the Casino AT THAT TIME...the "Pop" effect was in full swing...and I'm sure that people who went to Cleethorpes (never made it myself) could come up with examples as well.
