Went to a soul do Friday night and got chatting to this lad who was wearing a Harrington that was covered in soul patches.Thinking he must be a bit of a veteran,Imagine my surprise when he informed me that he had just bought it for 20 quid in Matalan, Patches included.

It was dark blue, actually. laugh.gif Just trying (in vain) to bring back a bit of that old school class to the proceedings! :P

Obviously on the hunt....

Surprising how many ladies said "Oooh I do like a man in a suit, wish the others would....."

There's method in my madness!

(For those interested in sartorial elegance, tonights outfit will be:Charcoal grey Ralph Lauren suit, Thomas Pink shirt tie and pocket square, Tiffany sterling silver cuff-links and tie-clip, Loakes 'Royal' brogues)

Happened to me yesterday at work.

A girl in a 'Heart Of England Soul Club' T-shirt was in the foyer. I waltzed up and asks if she is a Soul fan, and she says 'No, what are you talking about?' So I point out the words on her t shirt trying not to point at her rather voluptuous breasts, and she says 'I saw it in a charity shop for 50p, and liked the big heart and the colours'.

Saw some Ringspan gear (jackets, tshirts etc) in a TK Max type shop next to ground zero last August that were covered in Northern Soul patches.

If the extra large would have fitted I might have got some, but there are tight fitting you know. tongue.gif
