November 21, 200717 yr Max celebrated his 65th Birthday at New Century's Soul Night Brookfield Stables on Oct 27th/28th this year Dunno how old Sam is - but both of them are two of the most approachable guys I've had the pleasure to chat with I know this has been asked before. Sam turned 66 last August. We surprised him with a cake on stage and I've booked him again next August, per his request (he'll be 67 at midnight). It was the perfect opportunity for me to book Dave Box same night, so we'll be calling it a METHUSELAH SPECIAL . Dave celebrated his 60th early last year (many of you would remember Syl Johnson and Jackie Ross on at the Frobisher for this). Dave's been spinning soul since 1965 I understand. I'm pretty sure that Sam only started with the soul djing gimmick in '68 (damn fine year that! ) and I'm sure he'll grow out of it someday m
