Not sure if this thread has been followed but I'm intersted in which backing tracks have been used the most. Like Bari Track and Rose Battiste or Dime on D-9 and Bobby is my baby. I've a sneaky feeling it's propably a motown track but I wouldn't be able to say off the top of my head. What do you think?

I would say MOONLIGHT MUSIC & YOU backing

How many times has the backing track been used? Would you know? I'm thinking of actual backing tracks rather than versions of songs otherwise we'd prob be talking about My Way.

i used to think a lot of the Detroit backing tracks were the same and I know a lot are but only when I really started to listen I realized it was more the Detroit sound i.e. Solit Hit productions or the Thelma crew etc.....

Cody Michaels / Liza Mae ( x 2 ? ) / Jan Snow / Michael Christian - might be others - there was a few threads about this a while back - Definately 4 uses of this track, and 5 if there was another Liza Mae apart from "Juicy Mouth"

Thelma has a few like this.

Which are the Thelma tracks? I know they were a tight knit group that formed part of The Snake pit team eventually. Love their sound wish I had more Thelma stuff.

The Chi-lites OH GIRL was re-done (on B.R.C. ~ BRC109) by the Promises and re-titled OH BOY - same backing track and same year.

Trying to identify a track, can someone tell me if the attached sample is by the Promises? If not, then by who?

Weren't there supposed to be NINE records utilising the instrumental to "What Can I Do"/"Moonlight Music In You"/"A Beautiful Place"/"New World" etc. etc. !? - Maybe even more! Surely that takes the cigar (if not the biscuit!)
