There have been some good soul and R&B performances on Jules Hollands' Hootenanny in the last few years.

Irma Thomas and Solomon Burke spring immediately to mind.

I really hope Martha and the girls can turn it on tonight.

I expect they will just do a couple of the chart "biggies" but for myself would love for them to do "Come and Get These Memories" and maybe "Third Finger . . . "

Regarding the latter saw Martha get a bit emotional at one live performance. Really grateful to the British public for "discovering" this track and giving her the chance to sing it again and again.

Any more thoughts . . . . . ?

I was going to say that Dave, I saw her in about 2000 and her voice had gone, it was quite sad really.

She wasnt good last time we saw her,but same as mikey nowhere to run one of my all time favs.

Sam Moore was great - would love to hear him again.

Im out tonight so will miss the show but i do hope for her sake she does herself credit and sounds awsome and as for what song i dont know really cos did she do a bad one :shades: I think Jules will have her vocals all nicely prepared and warmed up so i look forward to watching sometime over the weekend thumbup.gif
