I met a lady at Barnsley last Friday who asked if I had attended a certain Allnighter, I hadn't and asked her "Why should I go", this was her reply............... 1: It's always good to try somewhere new. 2: It's much better to travel loads of miles when there is something on close by... 3: It's very easy to get to and find. 4: We like "BLANK" virgins and we are getting less and less of them. 5: It's a lovely venue, all on one level, so no tiresome stairs where you might miss a record. 6: There is a gorgeous burger van, so you can buy a hot coffee... 7: We try and think out the DJs in each room, so that if one rooms music is not your thing, then the other might do it for you. 8: We like to party and don't give a fook about bollotics. 9: We're all crap dancers, so everyone who visits looks good. 10: It's very dark in the main room, I find I always look sooooo much better in the dark. But even if I wasn't the reference to virgins and burger van gave it away. Rugby it is. We have chatted with the organisers who were offered that date and no other. Not at all arrogant, we did try to avoid the clash but nothing could be done. I have no quarrel with either set of promoters but are you saying that regardless of how far in advance a night or niter is booked and promulgated ...if another night subsequently books the same night but its their last event all other events which were booked prior should change their dates??????? Guest Bearsy Posted February 3, 2009 Share Posted February 3, 2009 For me Rugby is special cos the girls of Rugby ARE special Rugby is the Nighter home of Soul Source for me and not only a pretty damn good music policy and dj line up its a bloody good laugh too and the most welcoming venue ive ever experienced, The Rugby Ladies/ladyboys know how to have fun but that dont take away how serious they are about getting the nighter just right and as good musically as it can be for its targeted audience imho Back at Sians afterwards is a good craic too if i dont make it Saturday have fun and enjoy Bearsy Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...
