Ist thing I did however I was blocked on that as well Auctions over now luckily two of the records went out of my price range. But the one that didn't CRY LOVE by SWEET & THE INNOCENT and went for a good price (imho). Anyone know of one for sale anywhere? John

What sounds did Wigan make big in its early days?. I attended the first night as a naive spotty 17 year old,and of course heard the Sherrys, Velours Thelma Houston, Patti Austin Wayne Gibson but these all came from other venues. What big records did Wigan create exclusively in the early months?. I went there as a soul fan and didn't feel short changed by the records I heard. Anybody got a 1st night playlist?

My first Northern buys were from a mate at work around '71 April Stevens Wanting You on MGM and Jimmy 'soul' Clarke Sweet Darling on Soulhawk all in for a fiver I think he threw in California Montage as a sweetener. -

Don't remember there being a seven at the time of its release just the 12 5:31 & 3:40 I think there might have been a seven during its second lease of life on the rare groove scene. With Mr Ayers being over here a lot in them days it might be legit.
