  4. Nice one Julie-yeah bring it along if you will. There are a few others bringing bits and bobs of the old place so there will be plenty of perusing going on .........amongst other things see ya next week x ps bring a top coat --its always draughty in Hose st
  5. ha yer bugger Caught yer again--get some bloody cars sold We've got some jobs do before the 24th
  6. .....while I'm on Major's coat can't be far off as a must have bit of memorabilia
  7. . On a chin stroking note--we got a bit of a debate going on the Torch reunion website about what is the rarest Torch sound--looking like Pat Lewis --No one to love .. so far and yes Steve you can brick the entrance up lol .....but knowing the council round here, they would probably ask if you've got planning permission for it
  8. We have managed to hire a seperate 'chill out' room downstairs at the Ryan Hall. This is intended for record/memorabilia dealers and for folks to have a drink and a break from the 'Frenzy' of upstairs if needed It is in its original form a pool room--but I can probably fit 3 maybe 4 tables in for the record dealers (wall paper paste table size.) We have got one deffo that has booked a space. It will still leave room for those that want a break to sit and have a drink and a chinwag...and a chinstroke while yer in there There is room for a couple more tables. So those that have tickets and want to peddle their wares can you pm me on here. I need to sort out logistics of setting the room up before the event. first come---yer know the drill folks. 10 days to go
  9. Cheers Roger Thanks for that. So the one with the instr on the flip IS a legal re-issue. Came across the above the other day for a very reasonable price and was even more confused when looking on Manship and saw a variety of 'em Was the Sequins--he's a Flirt booted on a brown Renfro--seen one of them as well on me travels Anyway thanks for the above info mate cheers Jez
  10. Evening folks Don't normally come in here(bit outa me depth ) but got a bit of a query. Case of love--Sequins....Whats the score with boots/reissues on this one Just had a quick dabble on Mr Manships site and there seems loads Any help greatly appreciated cheers Jez
  11. Nice bit of snapping at the Harecastle!! There's also a Pizza Hut 'bout 5 mins from Ryan Hall, and of course the Sneyd Arms do meals as well Asda is 5 min walk as well, with a cafe in....and also while yer in the 'George at Asda' section do a tidy brogue for dancing in
  12. pm'd yer mate
  13. ..........and I might have a little suprise personnel wise, come the day also
  14. Add The Who Who Song to that one ...oh and Edwins 'Time' isn't a slouch either
  15. Thats exactly it mate.If I may with Russ's permission widen this a tad. An example being the spate(collective name for?? ) of instrumentals that broke mid/late Torch early Casino--that possibly wouldn't see the light of day now. Sounds of Lane eg sounds/feels different at 5 in the morning at hose st in 72 than anywhere you can mention in 2009. Yes possibly cos its been hammered--but more I think its the different outlook that we all have on what constitutes a northern soul sound in 2009. We have been exposed to so much more since then that the divisions/boundaries(for want of a better word) have become blurred. Not a bad thing I hasten to add --its the same with anything --we take more on board as we get older. ....oh and this may have caused a rush to the dancefloor back then
  16. .......up until last Friday night ........bloody incredible. Me and me mate were gobsmacked. Great seeing him and chinwagging about past escapades Now gotta try get hold of a ticket from somewhere.....
