Yes Brett has the all yellow label version which is the better mix. I had the yellow and red version and the all yellow is a better mix with everything up in the mix. It's a great record on either label though, but I was surprised that it went for that much. I think I traded mine to Skeg Mick for his Thomas East - Follow the rainbow, although the memory is misty.

Just noticed this as a recent Ebay sale at $879.... Is that about right or was that an aberration?.... it wasn't even the right version (neither is the one pictured here.)
  3. Wow!! I missed this posting in November. Great stuff Bob, wish it was Sunshine Lady they performed though.

I must admit I really like this Kev. The vocal ain't great but it's a good tune none the less with real nice instrumentation and cracking drumming.

  9. I would guess '75/ '76/ but sounding earlier, possibly a reason for it not being picked up on at the time of release, not fashionable or current enough. Just a theory,

Love'em both, but Ree edges it for me, just a bit more dynamism in his version.
  11. Great little film, really gets to the atmosphere, nicely shot and edited.

Tell her....I mean ask her to go and get the beers in while you play it Steve. I wish I could afford to buy it, it's one of my favourite tunes.

Sorry to here that mate, I hope you get them back or find out who took 'em. It's a shame not to have your records out and be able to drop tracks on the deck whenever you feel like it. If you hadn't had your tunes out the night I was round yours some years back I would never have discovered the killer Limitations on Bacone.
  14. That's unbelievable. It's styrene too with lots of noise apparently!!! I don't think I've seen it on styrene before come to think of it.
  15. Nothing white sounding about this.
  16. Yep, tis a thing of beauty is the yellow multi coloured design.
  17. Major bargain on the Prophesy Des!!
  18. My copy is on the pink label but I've had it since the 70's. I always thought the pink was the very first press.
  19. I haven't listened to it all yet but it sounds ace so far. Spotted Directions- She'll never say it and ray Alexander Technique - Long way home.
  20. I didn't know the Little Gregory had been done. Who's done this?
  21. What a fantastic video. It had me smiling from ear to ear on a grey pissing down Friday.
  22. It may be was john, but the first time I heard it was by Chris.
  23. Respect to Chris Anderton for being the first person i ever heard play this back in the 90's. We all wanted a copy but it was impossible.......until now.
