No problems as far as I can see. Too many venues maybe but hey ho. I enjoy myself as much now as I ever have done. Like I said before maybe it isn't so much about the state of the scene as much as the people on it.

There are so many venues at the moment I am sure everything is more than covered ten times over Anyway, I am not the one promoting you are. So can I ask what are you going to do to make your venue stand out? Will you be DJing at this event of yours?

Bang on Chalky! If I go somewhere and the music is not to my taste I just won't go again. I would never come on here slagging it off. If I go to an allnighter and there is a DJ that does not do it for me. So what? I am one person in a venue full of people. All it takes is one look at the dance floor. If that is busy then it is job done in my book!

Hi Phil. Apologies if I came across a bit strong. I know people are going to start up new events but for the life of me I can't understand why. Why not just support the ones that are already going? Unless you are going to offer something different of course. Are you going to be offering something different?

In that case why would you want run an allnighter in Preston? More to the point why would you want to run an allnighter at all? What do you have to offer that isn't already being delivered?

Yes there were all dayers but there was also an allnighter.

I tell a lie My husband has just informed that there was one at the Top Rank around 1980 ish but the police shut it down at around 4am. Apparently people have tried in the past but the police always put a block on it. Why anyone would even consider putting another allnighter on when there are already so many others on is beyond me.

Do you think you would get a licence for it? More to the point, do you think anyone will go to it? Preston is a very strange place at the best of times. Even more so when it comes to all nighters. Hence why there is no history of any (to my knowledge anyway).

I can't comment on the locals or the music as it has been a long time since I attended. I think the fact there is so much on these days will have something to do with it. I am not just talking about your club Ady. It is happening all over. Yes things are also more expensive these days so perhaps bi-monthly is the way to go. When venues are on every month people tend to think I can catch it next month if I don't go tonight. But if it is on every other month, if you don't go, it ends up being 4 months since you last attended! This should encourage people to make more of an effort.

I can't remember the amount now as I was making the payment for someone else but the fees were only £4 or so. My paypal account is linked to my bank account too and not my credit card.

That is right. I was asked to send payment as a gift but as I did not have the balance in my paypal account, I was asked who was going to pay the fees - me or the recipient.
