That's what I thought. So why the sudden interest in something you can get easier than you can get a taxi? Just another case of the weird and wacky world of Northern Soul. Anyway, not a bad tune. Would have been better if it didn't go all wonky in the middle.

What is it with the Jades all of a sudden? Half a dozen or more people have asked me to sell them this in the last two weeks. How much does it go for anyway? Can't be much surely.

But wasn't it different soul clubs using the same venue? Why anyone would want to put an all nighter on every week is beyond me? Just think about all the other great venues they'd miss out on.

I didn't know this came out on Five O until Karl Rhodes played it at DDA the other month. Has a different B side than the Tamboo release doesn't it? I have had this on Tamboo for more years than I care to remember. Not for the 'Come Alive' side though, but for 'I Don't Mind'. I think 'Come Alive' is an average tune at best imo. 'I Don't Mind' is in a different league entirely. Incredible tune

I'm a bit worried leaving you all on your own on here while we go to Burnley. Lord only knows what kind of trouble you will have got yourself into by the time we get back!

It would seem that the consensus of opinion on here is that you can't be a true Northern Soul fan if you don't love this record? Well who put you lot in charge of deciding what a true Northern Soul fan is? Anyway, all this is detracting from the real shock of this thread. There are 10 people on here who think their opinion's don't count.

You're having a laugh! I don't need Butch et al to play a record for me to like it. I can make my own mind up thank you very much. I hated Frank Wilson the very first time I heard it, almost 30 long years ago. I thought it was pants then and I think it is pants now. Albeit a little bit tighter round the waist then they were back then. If it had been left up to records like this - I would never have got into Northern Soul music. Have I said I think it's pants?

Have a look in the 'media section'. Bound to be something in there that tickles your fancy. Also, work your way through 'refosoul'. If you don't find anything in there you like - I'd give up!!

I wasn't being patronising mate. I was just saying that record is pants because I think it is pants. It may well fill the dance floor at venues you frequent but it would not fill the dance floor at venues I frequent. In fact, I have already posted that I cannot remember the last time I heard the record out because the venues I frequent do not play pants. Feel free to say I am being patronising if you wish. You are entitled to your opinion. As am I. And my opinion is Frank Wilson is pants.

A full dance floor does not mean the record they are dancing to is a good one. Not by any stretch of the imagination. It's pants!
