I've done this whilst at work, if I'd been at home think it would have been a totally different list .
  2. I haven't looked through all this thread so apologies if this one has already been suggested. The Four Sonics Easier Said Than Done Sport Ian Burse Staines, Middlesex.
  3. Just checked (now at home), Vel-Vetts are on it, but the track is You Really Never Know 'Till It's Over.
  4. It's ashame he had to list a boot with all those other quality originals they've got for sale.
  5. Wasn't the Vel-Vets also released on a Joe Boy single as well? Not too sure if it was on Rita & The Tiaras - Gone With The Wind, I'm at work at the moment so can't check.

The following is taken from the CD sleevenotes. Gladys Knight and The Pips: Here Are The Pieces Of My Broken Heart An absolutely massive dance floor favourite - when you hear something as awesome as this it's hard to believe it has never been released anywhere before - until now! The brilliant Gladys at her soulful best.

I thought the original release of this was on the Tamla Motown Connoisseurs CD, which was an offical release. Therefore if only playing originals, make sure there's a CD player handy.
  8. I must admit to only ever buying a couple of copies of SKM in the past. However I haved used the website on a number of occasions, especially the discographies . Many thanks Mr Rimmer. PS I hope that the website will remain.

Maxine Brown - Let Me Give You My Lovin' - Best of Kent CD

I wouldn't advise it, just that part of site rules is that links to download sites are not allowed. Try listening to some stuff on the Refosoul pages, then if you like anything just try looking on record dealer sites, ebay and even the sales section on here. I saw on your list Deon Jackson, I'd recommend you check out some more of his records. A couple of other artists to start with for good cheap records would be Gene Chandler & Jackie Wilson.
  11. Darrell Banks - Open The Door To Your Heart - Revilot
  12. Not forgetting The Stranger on The Fabulous Gladys Knight & The Pips, Sounds Superb LP.
  13. I believe so that topics don't stay at the top of the lists for weeks after an event. So now they just stay in the order in which they were first started.
  14. Here's a link to the old thread. >> Click Here <<
  15. I think Gene R started a thread on these a couple of years ago. I've bought a few from car boots, amongst them Temptations, Gladys Knight & The Pips, R Dean Taylor, Supremes, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Contours & Isley Bros.
  16. Just a thought, but does this mean my Kent anniversary copy has just shot up in value? Or is it still only worth the same as two pints of lager & a packet of pork scratchings?
  17. Wasn't DJ Honky the chap who did those CD's a little while back? Check out the bidding history, I think the top two were just trying to ensure that they won it. I honestly don't believe the winner thought they'd ever had to fork out $15000+, I wonder if they'll be a second chance offer to someone?
  18. Anything by Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Sharleen Spitari, Joss Stone because they are oh so soulful .
  19. There's also a copy listed in sales for £50.

I wouldn't normally comment on prices, however I do think this maybe overpriced.
  21. The following is taken from the MFP album cover.. This album includes two tracks never previously issued on an album - Baby Hit And Run a stomping dance item featuring an outstanding arrangement and excellent lyrics, which sounds as though it were recorded in 1965, and their version of the Temptations' 1965 hit It's Growing, which is presumably of similar vintage. These cuts were issued in Britain early in 1974 and met with considerable success. So I believe the above is correct and the single came first.
  22. What about Earl Van Dykes All Day All Night (Tamla Motown) from 2005, with Supremes Honey Bee on the other side. Also about the same time wasn't Chris Clarks version of Do I Love You released on 7"?
  23. If the Contours - Baby Hit & Run is on the list, would The Isley Brothers - Tell Me It Is Just A Rumour Baby also qualify? Or do they just fall into the realms of UK only releases?
  24. Here's a link to the list I posted up on the unreleased thread.
