  1. Here's a scan of my copy, hope this helps.

Depends on label doesn't it? There's three releases that I know of, 100 Club anniversary(1991), Horaces & also Kent.
  3. Here's just a few from my box... BOBBY TAYLOR: Blackmail/Oh I've Been Blessed (VIP) BETTY LAVETTE: I'm Just A Fool For You/Stand Up Like A Man (Calla) JIMMY DELPHS: Almost/I've Been Fooled Before (Carla) LOUIS CURRY: I'll Try Again Tomorrow/A Toast To You (M-S) THE ARTISTICS: Girl I Need You/Glad I Met You (Brunswick)
  4. Nothing, my hearing is fine! Here's a tune that I got on a Saracens anniversary CD, that I think is very poor. /index.p...i&img=11387
  5. Part of it reminds me of part of the soundtrack to Lock Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels! Songs still crap tho'. How about Dean Barlow - Third Window ashtrays? Another one would be Barbara Danes I'm On My Way - don't bother love, bugger off back home!
  6. The whole write up, just seems to me, to be complete and utter b*ll**ks! As for northern soul events above London pubs, that I took to mean Solid Hit (upstairs @ O'Neills), the dancefloor is always busy, or perhaps Stuart, Gene, Dave and company should start playing the Chemical Brothers.
  7. Mmmm, this sort of thing could lead to a new type of sound, we could call it crossover soul.
  8. You got 2 copies for sale then, Rich?

What no 6T's at the 100 Club or Jack's? Because you can only have soul in the midlands or north west!
  10. Isn't there some old joke about the Foreign Legionaires and camels, think the punchline was "Well, you don't want to get an ugly one, do you?"

I'm interested in one as well, another bloody record Mr Franklin is responsible for me wanting . Mind you it would also be handy if I knew how much it goes for!

Made me laugh that one list has The Five Stairsteps Playgirl's Love for sale at £5, don't you just wish that all the other stuff on the lists had remained at the same prices!
  13. I think you'll find he was asking if "It's A Long Way To Be Happy" was ever released on a single.
  14. My deepest sympathy to Sylvia's family & friends.
  15. There's one in Brighton, was on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares TV programme. Here's a link to some reviews of it. >>click here<<

This is a great double sider, that if I hadn't already got a copy, I would be buying! So instead I'm recommending.

There is a boot for about a fiver that usually appears on Ebay, but only official release was the 1998, 100 club anniversary single. Last one I saw went for about £75, think it was Pete-S who had it up for sale (could be wrong tho').

The following is copied from Mr Rimmers fine web site Soulful Kinda Music, it's taken from the 100 Club singles review. 6T14 A - Peggy Gaines - When The Boy That You Love (Is Loving You) 6T14 B - The San Franciscan T.K.O.s - Make Up Your Mind A tale of two cities on the '98 release, topside comes out of Nashville via Peggy Gaines unreleased track from the Ref-O-Ree label with the smooth dancer 'When The Boy....'. San Francisco holds up the 'B' side with the San Fran TKOs 'Make Up Your Mind', a fantastic sound, just listen to those trumpets !
  20. No need to bother found it on the web >>here<<
  21. Just out of interest, which 40 soul records did they list as essential?
  22. There is a bit on ebay, where you can do a page that says "all about me". You could just put up a big ad for your sites on that page, with links from any listings you do. Just a suggestion.
  23. Doh! That was the one I meant to refer to. Just saw Greatstone in the events calender didn't read into too much, now realise that it's a different promotion on the 4th. So Kevin if in Manchester on the 18th it's Greatstone, but if in London on the same day it's the 6T's allnighter at Jack's.
