Why? It often costs Joe Bloggs more to send the item than a known dealer, as indicated in Pete's earlier post about the 'economy of scale' purchasing of mailers and they have to queue for just as long at the Post Office. If you have to start tacking ridiculous postage costs on at the end of a sale, then you are clearly not very clever when it comes to pricing your records up....

Funny thing is looking through the bidding history, you can see ids crop up that look familar.... i've spotted one that is definately a regularish poster on this site, Djs fairly often, and is supposedly a bit of a collector. What a laugh.

Why not take it yourself? Sure theres a few bands for sale for the event, and you get to meet them in person that way.

problem is brett, its not everywhere that you can get right up to the decks, but these will look the part from a distance. It's not like Ponds Forge, where theres an armed guard from the Soul Police stood behind the decks most of the night...

so that they can dj and pretend that theyve got a box full of rare records... bit like going to the market and buying a load of shonky designer labels, then going down the pub and letting all your mates think you're a ten bob millionaire.

First off, I'd step down as DJ, and just promote. Secondly, I'd retire Butch - for the following reason: I'd try and find 7 young DJs - i.e. under 25 so that the crowd could relate to them. Nothing more likely to put the youth off than seeing Montgomery Burns behind the decks.
