AND MY SECOND QUESTION IS ON THE MAIN COLUMBIA LABLE ISSUE & DEMO 45 IS NOT ON THE LABEL? EPIC LABEL HAS 45 RPM ON LABEL DATE HAS BIG 45 & SMALL 45 ON ITS ISSUES ONLY WHY????AND HOW COME IN THE 7ts COLUMBIA DEMOS DID USE THE 6ts 45 RPM AND RADIO STATION COPY MESSAGE??? by THE WAY I HAVE JUST PLAYED ALL THESE RECORDS AND THERES NOT A DUFF ONE IN THERE SO IF YOU ARE DJING THIS WEEK i CAN RECOMEND ANY TO REVIVE LEFT TO ME IT WOULD BE THE BIG UN FROM WIGAN 8th AVENUE BAND A CLASSIC DANE KIL

Hi this is a rumar with fact ? i have heard about this release with a small 45, all I can say that the second press run of a few titles ptessed in late 71 started with #7245 inst moving foreward to #7249,#7251,#7271,#7274,#7277,#7281,#7284,#7291,#7293,# it is possible a second run went ahead? in fact as we all could of done with a repress of the 7 souls, certainly I am not a lable conpletest and my info based on what I have in personal collection, Bedford Pete is the man he has all the releases I m aware that some of the Demos came in Pcture Sleaves But My copy sleave is so water damaged I did not bother, also I have some brolliant OKeh Adverts Unpublished, Dave Kil

  11. Hi All a bit more info not that I am biased but most of the best UK discoveries post Twisted Wheel were from the IN_CROWD TEAM that frequented and hosted the 6ts all-nighters in London's West End, I remember from about 75 picking up anything on PYE group of labels for Mick S, Ian & Pete W had good finds and I wrote about him turning up at WIGAN with half dozen mint "walk with a winner" not sure if he discovered it but I will always attribute the record with Pete W for those who cant remember I got the cracked one £7, still got it , back to the IN CROWD although I say Mick but that is because it is he i 1st heard them played but back in 71/2 the IN CROWD met at the Birds Nest, a motley crew of Soul-boys not the norm at the time as most faces were more Smooth and up to date, Crisp From Napper to plates, however my keen eye and love of stimulation, soon found me swifting in at the Dive Bar, certainly mick Clive and Randy etall discovered a lot more than you would think and though most Northerners would like to make claim it was indeed the men from the Midlands and south ward that fueled the Early days Mick & Clive LEE DAVID GOERGE CARROW FRANKIE BEVERLEY "IF THATS.." AND Clive found both fairmont sides however the IN-CROWD never boast or brag about there finds? if it was me I would as me and the north are as Alain as me & the French as we all know the can speak English but choose not to, a good example is the northerners questions about attending a future event example (a)RR t u go-in t berry later on RR u, or ( demoe ave u t got t any t Tamla t Motown t demoose) © that t gear i got t from u s t best t it was reet champion r u go-in t Ritz Alldayer u r u go-in r u) as you can imagine no wonder the true soul scene had to be propped up by the IN-TEAM, and before you start I lived in the North and went to school in Preston so I speak with Forked Tongue? Yes I am aware that my remarks may cause some annoyance but don't worry you will forget it all by t tomorrow once you have had a milk stout?. Where was I yes many records were found in the London area right up until the mid 8ts and for myself I remember Buying 2 records from Mick in 72 that had cover up label's at £1.50 each it turned out he had crossed me as both were still available in the shops Buster Pearson on Action A Torch CU play & Honyend Heartbreaker which after a swallow of Caps sounded like the Dogs DAVE (REMEMBERS THE CHICKEN RUN) KIL A COUPLE OF THE IN-CROWD WITH OLD SAGE GIVING ADVISE TO A YOUNG PTETENDER FROM THE MIDLAND (SOUL ON SPOON) BLESS YOU ALL (MORE THAN SKIN DEEP)
