  5. Can't you send the buyer an invoice via paypal then remove the item from your shop or is it an automatic checkout thing?

  11. Thanks for your help , will investigate the tracks
  12. I've just heard a version played by a mate from a tape of the well known tune by jimmy robins but this was faster and had horns on it , can anyone tell me who it is by or is it a different take etc as I couldnt help him
  13. I have a copy of this that is up for offers , it is a white demo on columbia records and its being played by Ian Levine It's a long long way to fall is vg++ with a few light surface marks but plays fine You'll remember me side is vg+ with a few marks but nothing affecting play and has a bit of dust on it , probably from being stored for a while I have not cleaned this yet , it should just clean up fine but this is not the side getting played. Link to youtube soundclip ( not the record for sale ) , up for sale or trade , any offers by pm please thank you
  14. Try to find out which types of the music you like ie 60's , northern , crossover , r&b , modern , 70's , oldies etc than ask on here for people to recommend records in that style up to your £ limit Remember not everyone knows everything and there is a lot of bulls**t spoken by some people on the scene especially if they are looking to buy a record ( its not rare , could have bought it for £10 last week , etc , trying to talk it down ) , or its a floor packer , really rare , not had this since the torch / wigan days etc when they try to sell it
  15. People use the term rare sometimes to hype up the price on ebay , first purchase should be the price guide and the bootleg guide from john manship to check originals etc popsike gives a guide of what records have sold for and also check the completed listings on ebay , buy from sellers with good feedback and dealers on here etc that you can trust , decide if you want to collect originals or reissues / bootlegs , both are ok it just depends on what you want to do with them and how much money is available. Just because a record is expensive doesn't mean its good , listen on youtube etc for most things , dont buy what your mates like as it will be your collection
  16. There is a soul clock listing on soulful kinda music , yes it was the first released version on the label and the hardest / expensive one to find , still need it for my collection of the labels releases
  17. my favorite was georgie pines on amy , sorry to hear of his passing
  18. I wonder if with these print on demand type services if it would be viable for them to do it that way or even if they started a pledge etc to raise the money needed as i would love them all together etc , maybe done in a few volumes etc I presume that they have all the information stored digitally so wouldnt like be starting from scratch etc
  19. chi chi went for about £90 including postage in april on ebay
  20. People have been playing out from cds for years , Brian rae etc it still doesnt make it right when you have paid to get in but if it is not advertised as an ovo night it is down to you to make your choice. Funny thing is that it is only Northern soul where I get funny about this , If I am in a modern room or a rock night in a pub near me i couldnt give a flying wotsit about the format. Probably down to the fact that when i started collecting you had to buy records or copied tapes , then cds came along , mp3 and downloads. I have spent quiet a bit on my records but now you can easily purchase a set of mp3 dvds from ebay containing all the kent goldmine etc that you will ever need. Am i just being grumpy that people are getting dj sets and collections for relatively peanuts ?
  21. I have this on a white demo but can only find issues listed on popsike and ebay , how much does this go for as may be looking to move it on , I heard the demo was the easy one to get but looking at those that sold they are all issues Thanks in advance
  22. I have this on a couple of cdrs somewhere as well as the released cd , absolutely brilliant tune
