- Towanda Barnes - Love Slipped Thru My Fingers
The connection is Johnny Brantley. The full story of Johnny's immense contribution to our music can be found in Issue #5 of There's That Beat!. Back issues still available of this particular issue at ww.theresthatbeat.com Only a few left though.- Chuck Wood Seven Days Too Long
Nothing dubious about it at all as far as I know Greg, Adams Apples were a black group that Kev managed to get an interview with including photos. I think the photos (and the story) were related in the last issue of the mag he used to publish. I've seen the photo and read the piece and I'm sure someone else could confirm the details, or even scan the page?- Chuck Wood Seven Days Too Long
Yep, That's the one Greg. Wish I could remember the details. Another mystery 'solved' that week by pure accident was the Adams Apples. (At least I didn't know who they were even if everyone else may have ). They walked into the hotel foyer just as the event was finishing I think. (I'd legged it up to the Catskills by then).- Chuck Wood Seven Days Too Long
I think the story of who Chuck Wood is was told to Kev Roberts by his DJ mate Bob Shannon a couple of years ago. Kev did tell me the story of how the name came up and how Bob (at least I think it was Bob) was surprised that we didn't know who it was, but I never recorded it. Maybe Sam or Kev could relay the story and the name of who it really is?- How Does One Know ?
So watch yer step Kegsy lad!- How Does One Know ?

 Fair enough. I'm trying to raise $$$ for a want so I'm parting with stuff I really want to keep! Maybe it was a 'sentimental' price. How's 100 sound? Anyone?- Top Classics For Sale
Still a little short to fund the want so an evening 'bump'. Might put another sale list up later too.- Charity Events
Stevie, INCOMING! Got yer tin hat handy?- Soundfile Please
Definite difference. Not sure if it's a different take or just a different mix but the Frankie Karl has slightly less 'punch' on the intro to the 7AA. I also think the 7AA is louder. Haven't both to compare at the moment.- Top Classics For Sale
List updated, couple more gone.- Top Classics For Sale
Oops! My apologies. Dean Courtney - Love You Just Can't Walk Away - MGM DEMO EX - 250- Ayup Lads ...want Some Polyveldts?
Not ever being a dedicated follower of fashions - It was shoes/kex/haircut or 45s back in the day for me hence I was often mistaken for a tramp who'd wandered in at many venues back in the day. (Some would cruelly say "no change there then!"). But did people really wear crap looking stuff like these back then? I must have missed loads back in the Wigan days, I don't remember Mrs Woods, The pies, the muggings in the bogs, the scooters (?) or any of that old gubbins from Wigan. I remember the record bar though.....maybe I was preoccupied!- Overseas Weekender Recomendations
I think Mike may well have something up his sleeve reference us "foreigners" in the revamp of the Events Section. Hope so, it'll make life a bit easier for us to put the word around and plan ahead.- Top Classics For Sale
