  2. I have them all, (J5) and the Topps Cardboard discs and a whole slew of Hip Pocket records. Can't see why anyone would think collecting them was odd? I know lots of collectors who collect the 'peripherals'. I even have reel to reel, 8 track, etc. Regards, Dave PS.Teapots naff though.

  10. Pete - daft as a brush but a heart of gold. Had lots to say, some of it pertinent and some of it complete bullshyte but he wouldn't say it behind your back, he'd say it right in your face. He'd have LOVED Soul Source 'Lookbacks'. Regards, Dave
  11. Thought this might be of interest. It was written in 1970 and shows the complete chasm that existed in the radio station set ups of the US and the UK. It's difficult o appreciate the importance of the radio stations in the US back in the day because we in the UK never experienced it like they did. Regards, Dave
  12. BIG thanks once again to all who helped me out. It's appreciated guys. Just still looking for a good quality scan of: New Wanderers - Let Me Render My Service - Ready Regards, Dave
  13. Hi John, Great scan but wrong format. I need the Cameo Parkway distributed 45 Mate. Appreciate the help Mate, I sold this 45 last year. I don't know WHY I didn't scan it first, I usually do if I let anything go. Regards, Dave

  15. Mark - Thanks Mate but it's the Cameo Parkway distributed 45 I need this time round. Appreciate the offer though. John, Yes please mate at 300dpi and send to hitsville2648@earthlink.net That'll be the first scoop on me at Hitsville in two weeks time Matey. Regards, Dave
  16. John, I THINK your Doris Duke was the tobacco heiress? If it's the same woman, she lived a hell of a life! Regards, Dave
  17. Man's Gotta Do What A Man's gotta do.... Actually I've just remembered he only owned 33% of Swan. The other partners were Bernie Binnick and Tony Mammerella, his producer at American Bandstand. The story of how they missed out on The Beatles is real WTF! moment in musical history. Of course by that stage Mr Clark was long gone. Regards, Dave
  18. Like Tony says, Dick Clark owned Hunt only from Johns list. He did have an interest in Jamie and Jamie/Guyden but was only a stockholder. His main revenue stream came from publishing rights. He certainly had no stock holdings in Cameo Parkway - That was owned by Bernie Lowe and Kal Mann or Chancellor records, that was owned by Bob Marcucci. . He was however also a 50% owner of Swan Records along with Bernie Binnick. Regards, Dave A full and exhaustive account of Dick Clark's wheelings and dealings will be in the new book.
  19. Kev, That would be brilliant Mate. I'm obliged pal. You got any REO 45s for sale? If so..drop me a line. Regards, Dave

Charlie Horner interviewed Sammy at length. I also asked him (Sammy), about this 45 and he says it's the same group but details were sketchy. Like Bob A, I know Charlie and if he's leaning towards it being the same group I'd tend to trust his judgement, they don't come much more thorough that Pam and Charlie Horner. Thing is...artists are sometimes just as 'in the dark' as we are when it comes to actual 45s. I've shown records to artists, producers, musicians and they've 'claimed them' but I've known that it isn't them and by the same token sometimes they've never heard of something with their name on it. It happened only a few weeks ago with a well known Philly writer/producer who categorically stated that he hadn't written and produced a song with is name on it. His answer was "Oh, that will be ^%#((*'s doing. He did that a lot to help me out". At Prestatyn a few years ago, some people took as Gospel Sammy's comment that Demos of Job Opening were never actually pressed. Despite him having seen both Greg T's and mine a few years earlier and him donating a scan of it to Charlie's piece. It's a funny old game eh? Regards, Dave

Most of these online outlets have no stock. You pay them, then the dramas start. Once customers realise they can't replace the stylus the carts become useless and they'll be stuck with the cart/stylus combo on their shelves. . Looks like it's gonna be another set of Grados then.. Regards, Dave .

That link is to the original Stanton 500 stylus that is used on the v3 carts. It's that very stylus that I want to replace. It's a replacement for this specific stylus that I'm looking for. Kris, where did you get yours and how long ago since you bought them Mate? REgards, Dave
