Info Needed On Two Randy Brown Tracks
Echoing the comments re: the Welcome To My Room LP. The track "Love Is All We Need" is worth the price of the LP alone

The Internet, Social Networking Sites And The Northern Soul Scene
James, I remember that night after Deep funk when we stayed at Keb's and you and Keb sat at his PC late into the next day whilst he 'educated you' about northern using Soulclub to point out the tunes you ought to be buying. It was a sort of strangely portentious Darth Vader/Frankenstein type scene : a monster being created right there at that computer, all done with a few clicks of a mouse. Don't underestimate the power of the internet in creating tomorrow's nightclubbing monsters.

Beware This Ebayer Currency_Merchant
The Office of Fair Trading is also seemingly 'against' sellers - if the letter of the law was followed, sellers wouldn't be able to charge customers to have their goods insured as according to the OFT that is the seller's responsibility(!) (Para 3:20), as is the safe delivery of the goods (even though as a seller you pay the postal service to handle that duty) Ebay by making that statement are only applying paragraph 3:36 of the OFT guidelines in relation to Distance Selling.

Top Tips For 2010
....ooh, I'll join in, too I'd been trying to license 'Leave Something Worthwhile' and a few other cuts for a 45 from a 5 or 6 track CD I had from the producer around 2003 for about two years before eventually giving up as he didn't seem that bothered in the end and also didn't seem to know who or where Gene West was. The group name he had was Gene West and the Electric Word - now called The Relatives. Glad to see someone persisted and finally got the stuff out there - the other stuff sounds good. Hopefully they'll stick LSW on a nice loud 45 - lots of potential in that one

K.i.c. / You Don't Want My Love
I interviewed a member of the group about 6/7 years ago and put it on the site, only for my PC to die, then did a server switch and lost the bloody thing! Bit clumsy. Think the project was funded out of a basket weaving business in Canada or something!

Records Not Received
Seems a bit ironic the guy's just posted a record for sale on the funk board. Just remembered I had a similar problem with him a few years back...heard nothing for ages, no record then finally after much badgering he sent a refund - don't think he ever posted the record. Could be lazy, disorganised or just not bothered. Not a good look, though
