  1. Indeed:
  2. Great tune indeed! It was included in a SoulSource six-pack-mix from the late 90s covered-up as DEAN & DAMONTS - "There's A New Thing". Took me quite a while before I managed to figure out what it really was.
  3. I totally agree. Their first 45, "Just Enough To Hurt Me", is also fabulous!
  4. Yes, here it is: https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=230282886428

OK, that narrows it down a bit! Off the top of my head, I really like these (all of them are post-1964): JOSIE 957 - Eddie Curtis - Those Foxes And Pussycats JOSIE 964 - Mighty Hannibal - Fishin' Pole JOSIE 965 - Roy Lee Johnson - So Anna Just Love Me JOSIE 970 - Tee Fletcher - Thank You Baby / Walk On Out JOSIE 976 - Grover Mitchell - I'm Still In Love With You JOSIE 1014 - Cyril Neville - Tell Me What's On Your Mind / Gossip JOSIE 1019 - Willie West - Fairchild ...and ofcourse, most of the Meters releases are essential.

There were about 280 or so 45s released on JOSIE between 1954 and 1971/1972-ish. Here's the 45 discography: https://www.globaldogproductions.info/j/josie.html Here's the LP discography: https://www.bsnpubs.com/jubilee/josie.html
  11. It's "Gotta Find Somebody" by The Riders Of The Mark on 20TH CENTURY FOX (#6694). The flipside, called "The Electronic Insides And Metal Complexion That Make Up Herr Doktor Krieg", is an in-demand heavy psych tune. The 45 usually goes for $60-$100.

It is released, on CD. Why not play it from the CD? The sound quality will suffer if you cut it and play it from a carved 7".
  15. Sebastian replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
You just send whatever you want to have cut to them and they will do it. No questions asked.
  16. That Marty Lewis 45 is a very rare record in my experience. Haven't seen a copy for sale in years. Storming New Orleans dancer!
  17. Great tune!

  20. I like it as well. Frantic tune!
  21. Sebastian replied to a post in a topic in Record Sales
Isn't it the other side on this 45 which is the in-demand one? It's a storming uptempo beach dancer.
  22. Yes, probably a mono/stereo drop-out issue as some of you have suggested. I'm quite amazed that they let it out though, someone must've checked the testpressing before it got released. Oh well, an interesting item nonetheless and indeed as Sammy mentioned, hard to find here in Sweden.
  23. I'm sitting here preparing stuff for a forthcoming auction, and when I pulled out the swedish picture sleeved Tamla Motown release of Edwin Starr's "Stop Her On Sight" and played it I realised that it's a different take or mix than on the original US Ric Tic release! I'll post up a soundclip of it below. Is this version known? Was it released anywhere else? Any info would be nice. (by the way, to my big surprise I also just found a version of Pic & Bill's "Sad World Without You" recorded by swedish schlager/schmaltz-singer Tommy Korberg back in the late 60s... extremely unexpected!!! )
