Pic & Bill Sr1 Any Ideas On Value
The Fiery Spartans probably were Pic & Bill's backing band and that's why on the right on the Fiery Spartans label you can read "Vocal By: PIC & BILL". There is no need to put up a soundclip because the Fiery Spartans release is identical in every way to the Pic & Bill release(s). The Fiery Spartans 45 and the Pic & Bill 45s have been pressed using the same stamper and has got identical matrix markings.

Any Uk Label Collectors Know This?
Don't know about the UK issue, but it was originally issued in the US on United Artists 594.

Pic & Bill Sr1 Any Ideas On Value
The french Soul Record release has got decent sound quality, but the one on spanish Belter sounds very muffled. Here is the Fiery Spartans release, it is indeed insanely rare:

Pic & Bill Sr1 Any Ideas On Value
It's a bit strange to see the rather common euro releases of this tune selling for £100-£200 and then both of the mega rare Pic & Bill issues of "Talk About Love" on Charay (issued with two different flipside) sell for only £200-£300. Based on quality and rarity it should be £750 at least. I don't know how much it is in the Tim Brown and Manship guides, can anyone please check? The first release of "Talk About Love" (the exact same recording, but about 20 catalogue numbers prior to the Pic & Bill issues) is credited to Fiery Spartans (Vocal by: PIC & BILL) and I've only ever seen one copy of that one and it's the one I've got. Not interested in selling it, but would ask for a LOT of money if I ever did. If anyone has got their "What Does It Take" 45 on Charay for sale, please PM me.

Pic & Bill Sr1 Any Ideas On Value
SR 1 is worth about £10. SR 7 is expensive (even though £200 is optimistic) because it has got "Talk About Love" on it, which is EXTREMELY rare on its original US Charay release (releases really, as it was issued three times, but is still almost impossible to track down).

Gsf Records And The Classic Example
There's a Classic Example LP as well on GSF. I've sold my copy so can't check for any members, but here are some pictures of the album:

Vibrations Gonna Get Along Without You Now
It's the original issue copies of: Major Lance - Too Hot To Hold / Dark And Lonely - OKEH 7226 which has got the small 45 RPM logo. White demos has got the big logo though.

Vibrations Gonna Get Along Without You Now
Yes, that's right. Those with "painted labels" (Amy/Mala/Bell type 45s) are styrene though. I don't know for sure when it comes to this particular 45. But I've had other Okeh 45s like Major Lance "Without A Doubt" pressed on vinyl and with a scratched in matrix number instead of stamped. But really, we should get Manship on this thread, he might know.

Vibrations Gonna Get Along Without You Now
That's the big 45 logo. Looks alright to me, apart from the fact that I've never seen it on vinyl prior to this. Wouldn't mind a vinyl copy instead of my styrene one actually. Pounding tune that one!

Carstairs Record Brutally Attacked
Ah OK, must've missed that. Can't see what one would have against destroying the reissue copies of this 45...
-
Carstairs Record Brutally Attacked
Aren't the pink label copies second issues anyway... pressed up by Red Coach, quite some time after the white demo copies, due to northern demand? I'm sure I've read that years ago. Someone put me straight if I'm wrong.

The Story Of P&p Records Dvd
I ordered it from a seller on Gemm called NEWYORKCD, but it never arrived and no money was taken from my credit card so I guess they didn't have it in stock. Can't really find it for sale anywhere else... Would still really like to get my hands on a copy so if you find one, please let me know.

Rare Motown Acetate
No, that can't be it, and those release dates are wrong. There are almost two years between the two releases. Chico was released April 1959 and Contours was issued on 20th of February 1961 (the "regional" version that is, the "national" one wasn't issued until May 1961). This acetate looks very dodgy to me.

Uni Records
I'm A Loser - blue bull - uni Refosoul Rare and Northern Soul Clip library - v3 getting there.. This is the most surprising cut I've ever come across on UNI. Proper moody r&b tune produced by Willie Mitchell.
