  2. Two hard and great PIR tracks: Carolyn Crawford - You move, you lose - monster dancer Ebonys - Do you like the way I love you - non lp goodie
  3. Hehe thanks for that Dave! I have very low expectations and it's by no means a record trip. Do you mean you won't even find cheap major label lp's and 45's? If not which stores stock that kind of records?
  4. Are there any stores apart from Rock'n'roll heaven worth a visit? Tried searching for old threads but could not find anything. Would also be thankful for tips around the West Palm Beach area! I collect soul/funk etc 1960-80's all formats not only rare stuff.
  5. Hey the styrene one is much rarer, don't you care about rarity?!?!
  6. My issue copy is vinyl and so was the one I sold a couple of years ago - and all other ten copies or so I've seen except one that's on styrene and belong to a friend of mine.
  7. Hehe maybe because "Move on up" defines the word overplayed? I'm for one have heard it too many times to appreciate it. Maybe New World have more subtle qualitites? I have heard that one almost as often and I'm not as tired of it.
  8. Agreed and I don't think it has been mentioned but it's actually written by Curtis and produced by Rich Tufo, congas probably by Master Henry Gibson. Pure "Move on up" feel for me too but moodier and not as high feel good factor. I remember seeing this in a 5 45's lot on eBay going without bids, I didn't bother because I already had a copy.. Also I reckon this is not one of the rarest Polydor soul 45's, for instance it was pressed at least two times - once one vinyl and once on styrene.
  9. I must say that GEORGE Benson still sounds awesome, the same can not be said about Ivan Mathias though..Is it any demand for that cd today?
  10. Sold my album but I reckon it's the same version. Album also include the killer "It's all about the family". Both 45's from the album came in picture sleeves - that's fancy!
  11. Kilburn black music fair is good. Info on https://www.dtrecords.co.uk/
  12. 12002A/12003A Diane Jenkins - Recycle / Gee baby, what about you (different label numbers on each side). Info supplied by Jens Chreisti. https://www.raresoulforum.co.uk/index.php?s...l=creative+funk But what about the mystery with the two possible three different versions of "I need you"?
  13. He also sold C Coulter for $50 - think he got them from the same source (Maxx Kidd). And no I wasn't the lucky one unfortunately.
  14. £400 sounds a bit steep but if the Fynil Vynil is selling for more.. Got mine from Rod Shard aka modernsoulsucks on soul source, it was £30 or 40. I think they came from Dave Withers, he was listing them at the same time but I missed out there.
  15. Hi John I got the Al & the Kidd 12" of this. Rare but certainly not 15 copies or less category.
  16. Karlm replied to Russ Vickers's topic in Record Wants
Hehe a couple of people posting wants on this now. I already missed out on one in a trade around a year ago would be a shame to do it again if more copies turned up .

Is it copies around of this now?
  18. I've seen a few copies of Network on eBay, none going for more than $40. Mine was around $30. Simon - who had the $1500 set sale Mixed Feelings 45´s?
  19. Hello Jens, Midwest Franchise seems to be quite indemand at the moment. You should be able to get upwards £100 for it. Never seen an issue on this btw (wonder what the flipside is like) but had a few copies of their other Mca release on issues. Don't sell Eunice Collins, you'll regret it!
  20. I had two of these, still have one and the other one went to Tadachika, and know of 4 more so there are at least six. I've seen three copies of Sweet James Epps on eBay alone but a dead rare one for sure! Also Steve G mentioned Leon Ware "Come be with me angel", what's the story of it being released on a Gordy demo 45?
  21. I got both as well. Bought Memphis only this year for £500 from Voxpop in Manchester after turning one down for £2000. Rare two step could be another thread, a couple on Hitoshi's playlist will fit right in.
  22. "Inside my love" on West Coast you mean? Sincerely rare and great two step 45! Couldn't be more than 15-20 copies of that one and 9th Creation "Mellow music"?
  23. Dunno but I've seen a 25 count cardboard box in a Philadelphia store with the group, song and label written on it. It was empty.
  24. I believe John Manship had a smaller quantity of the Record Player 45 and that is was quite get-able at the time. Not sure about Gold, only seen one copy for sale (eBay) but seen on a few playlists as well.
  25. What's the Touch of Class like? And is it the same group as Midland International? "If I could only" is the ballad flip to "Squeeze" which I posted. Exactly the same version on both releases. I hope people enjoyed hearing the same song twice.
