  3. £100 for a ready made set up. This will easily cope with a small/medium venue. I will also chuck in a mic and lead if bought together, otherwise £60 for just the console
  4. I also have a pair of good Carlsboro speakers if needed. £100 for the lot if speakers are bought with decks
  5. Works perfect, belt drive, 130w per side. New stylus (Shure) on both sides. Built in light controller, via bulgin socket, slave output if a bigger amp/output is required ive used this loads with no probs. signs of wear on covering, but purely cosmetic £60, collection from Grantham only.
  6. An historical and iconic moment for the 'northern' scene. I'm made up that I went, wouldn't have missed it I have a video on my phone, will try to upload. Let's not forget, this guy has never (according to himself) sung You get your kicks live infront of an audience before. For 70 yrs old, he was quite superb!
  7. I bought the isley Bros album with 'my love is your love' from Woolworth, Grantham, circa 1980, for a princely sum of 99p. If I'm not mistaken, our very own Pete Watkin (caveman) served me

  17. Well done all involved. . Well put together, but too much gear action for my liking ? i got a tad bored mid way through, but managed to hang on til the end. A very poignant storyline, something we can all relate to (although two years too early for my apprenticeship on the scene).. Youth club, plotting a story to fool the parents etc etc. not too bad, I will watch it again soon and get a second perspective.
  18. who are these DJ's that are taking over the world and threatening the soul scenes very existence? It's cuckoo land and denial to even think this! Just take a look at the event listing guide on here, the same names at every gig ? Name them I say, whilst naming the 'look a like' label spinners. anyone ?
  19. I closed the web page when I saw the robbing gits (ticket master) wanted £280 for two x £45 tickets...... Called symphony hall direct and got face values + £2.60 postage. The ticket master / Getmein farce needs stopping. But folks pay, there lies the problem

I use one of the 80s twin disco things. 130w per side, 100w speakers with small bass subs piggy backed. Simple! Fitted with good Audio technica cartridges.. Plonk it on table, plug speakers in and away ya go. if I need a big rig, I plug in some powered speakers, via the slave output things can get very complicated with PA gear,......simple is good
  21. Generic 12" full range speaker .300w max, runs nicely at 150-200w Main driver + high compression horn works perfectly, 1/4" jack input ... Ideal as a spare/back up or DJ monitor £20 collection from Grantham
