  2. Chuck Jackson and Wee Willie Walker by a country mile, awesome. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  3. Fantastic Benji, nothing will shock me mate as I can't remember anything of that crazy period....lol be good to hear them though as I've heard about there being recordings but never heard them ever, so it will be maybe embarrassment for me but well worth that just to hear them, you must admit we were good.......lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  4. Was it Joan I can't remember lol, best one I can remember was during one of those mental radio broadcasts was Woody's farm yard impression...went something like 'get off my ff'ing tractor' priceless as I choked on my bacon butty...lol Regards - Mark Bicknell
  5. James stop it lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  6. Very scary indeed....lol scares me and I was part of it lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  7. Think I can match Chris on this one I was 22 back in 1982 but come to think about it I could have played a few tunes there in 1981? with a fair few guest spots over the years, about time I made a return visit lol I'm 49 in May, bugger me scary this how time passes by, still the best club in the land to DJ at. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  8. Bet someone snapped his hand off too....lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  9. I have the Mir-A-Don Ascots set of three 'Another Day', 'Miss Heartbreaker' without group name on lable and 'Anytime', fab group, super hard to find set of three with 'Another Day' being the jewel in the crown, Stafford Top Of The World at it's very best, has to be £800.00 of anyone's money, blinding record. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  10. Yes Phil I do, just thought about that when I saw this want, think I had 6/8 copies at that time, the funny thing was I sold all of them at the time and ended up buying one back off Ebay a few years ago for a little more than a tenner....lol seem to remember that one or two of the copies I had were VG but the others were mint, good to hear you still have yours Phil. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  11. What's on the table for one of these then? Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  12. How about getting someone with a true passion to do the voice over, someone who knows what they are talking about and someone who is actually on the scene and can do the whole thing justice, Rod Shard Modernsoulsucks on is your're best bet to contact Dave who now lives in America. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  13. Why don't you contact John Anderson directly at Soul Bowl, he's still trading and I'm sure he would have some of his old lists knocking about, pretty sure John could help you out if you are prepared to cross his palm with silver or anyone else who may offer material. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  14. I saw on television the other day that most films now made with under a ten million budget fail to make any money, most independent films in the true sense of the word fail to gain any major distribution and are often destined at best to go straight to DVD, nothing of course to do with how good the film may or not be but simple fact as the big budget productions stand a lot better chance of finding an audience with over the top mass saturation advertising etc. I really hope this movie is a true masterpiece and does well in commercial terms. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  15. Is the best you can do? lol Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  16. Peach of a record well worth a punt. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  17. Played this a few years ago on the radio show and when I was still DJ'ing, certainly one of the first people to play it, hard to find record with the Issue/Stocker being extra tuff to locate, as Dave said there is a production fault towards the end of the record which just adds to the magic of this tune, out of the Sue, Eastern, Symbol, Broadway, Crackerjack group of companies I reckon The Hollywood Flames is as elusive as The Inverts -Time Will Change, The Dramatics - Toy Soildier, a real Billy Prophit White Demo etc. perhaps harder in fact. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  18. Someone should snap your hand off Keith for Johnny Daye..................tunnnnnnnne! Regards - Mark Bicknell.

I hold my hands up here Russ, I did send you a PM with a meet me half way price which I would have been happy with, in the meantime I got another PM from a different chap not Tim already spoke to him and again he was looking for a copy around the ton mark, the other chap offered me the full current book price as I did not hear back from you after the PM I sent you I took it that you were not interested at the asking price or you found or sourced another copy, this may be an example in posting wants that a prepared to pay price is listed with the want then it saves situations like this arrising. I suggested this on another thread recently and most people thought it was a good idea, where it all get's a little cloudy is when people are unsure of the value of a want or as sellers the same problem, I feel we have all been around records long enough to know basic ball park prices and values, we all have access to the prices guides and friends we can call upon to value stuff, Soul Source being the perfect place to gain information and values on records, I respond to wants if I'm not that bothered about keeping the record or to fund other records, but by the same token I refuse to give them away or be told what someone is not prepared to pay as the need to sell is not to survive more to keep my finger in the pie with collecting etc.I am no way suggesting Russ that you are one of the people on here who is after something for nothing by the way, really sorry for jumping the gun a bit on this instance and making a sale and I hope you source a copy soon. Regards Mark Bicknell.

Have a nice clean copy upstairs gathering dust chaps, open to offers so PM me. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  24. Fantastic Mike I did not see the reply you posted above from Gil, like I said there was no issue I simply wanted to make sure the record arrived safe and sound and like Russ said £20.00 well spent. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
  25. Just wondering if Gil Blanding is still out there? you may remember a couple of months back a few of us pledged the money to buy and send a copy of 'Rules' to him, I sent the record sign for air mail with a note inside just asking him to confirm that the record arrived safe and sound? I've since sent him a couple of PM's again just so he can confirm if the record arrived and as yet no reply, nothing, I know he was made up that we did this for him but think it a little odd that he's not been back here on Soul Source again just to simply confirm that the record arrived, I have no real issue with this as I'm sure he's a busy man but if you read this Gil can you please just confirm all is well. Regards - Mark Bicknell.
