My Dad passed away last October. There were 2 carrier bags full of 45s - Ray Conniff EPs, Demis Roussos, Charles Aznavour, Scaffold to name but a few and to give a flavour for the general content. Apart from finding the Columbia issue of Bonnie Herman "Hush Don't Cry" which I picked up for 10 pence over 30 years ago, well before it was a big Northern sound and which I had thought was lost somewhere in the mists of time, some of the 45s were in cardboard sleeves with my marker pen scrawled across with titles of records I used to own back then........Rose Batiste on Revilot, some Ric Tics etc etc.So, I had a record I was able to flog for £150 plus a little trip donw memory lane.........Thanks Pop! Agree with Chalky. You don't take a shirt back to M&S after dragging it through an oil puddle. They should have packed it properly Up to them to pursue a claim through the Post Office. Their problem not yours.

I have a small office/study in our flat (I work from home) - 6ft X 12ft. Now fitted out courtesy of Ikea with decent looking shelving units. Don't have a large record collection (though my very patient girlfriend would I am sure disagree!). I have a portable Numark living on the shelves which easily connects to the laptop and converts to mp3/iTunes. Just need a decent play deck and speakers (there is a deck of sorts in the living room) to complete the den properly, then I can come out even less than I do now.

YKHTLM is still an all time fave record.

I have often started collecting again with a hundred knicker in my pocket and a warehouse full of good intentions to make the ton go a long long way................I have invariably ended up with a pile of shit......... ............Good luck mon brave!

Tricky one to price so looking for offers. Greg Belson spun this to much acclaim on his visit to the UK last year and he sold a spare which was originally priced at $400 (). Not in too much of a hurry to flog this, but thought I would "Trouble The Water" and see what happens. PM me if you're interested. The record is a decent VG+ except it does have a pronounced dish warp, most likely caused by storage, But it plays well enough - check soundfile. temp2 101.mp3
