But you might have had to pay a lot more to top the winning bidder's maximum bid. What people bid influences what others think it's worth bidding. Bid late if you wan't to get things as cheap as possible. Having said that, I agree it's maddening to be sniped. Alan

I think it would go for under £100 on eBay, but beware of lookalike bootleg. Alan

Pat Sands is great, I highly recommend it. Backing is very like the Delfonics version but the vocal is a bit more punchy. I agree £75 is about right price. It doesn't come up for sale that often but I don't think it can be all that rare. Incidentally on the copies I've seen the vinyl is very thin and prone to warping. Alan

Straying a bit off topic, but in an early Simpsons episode Homer sings Tighten Up with the introduction "Hi I'm Archie Bell and I'm also the Drells and we're from Houston Texas". Alan

If the dealer is trustworthy, it would be cheaper to send cash "International Signed For". It costs around £3.50 and for an extra £1.50 you can get it insured for up to £250. I think this is cheaper than IMOs/Bank drafts. Alan

I did a similar thing a few months ago with Five Dutones record on Onderful. Put on a max. bid of $32,99 (comma in middle, by mistake) in last few seconds - spotted my mistake just as screen disappeared but it was too late to retract. Bid was entered by eBay as £3299 Someone else sniped in last 2 seconds but luckily below $32. I've kept the print out as a reminder to be careful about punctuation. I was surprised Ebay accepted a bid with wrong punctuation, rather than reject it. Alan

It's listed in Manship's UK guide at £20. If you're looking to buy a copy there's currently one for sale on Music Stack at £20. I don't think there's any demand for it, so if your selling I think you'd get a lot less. What's it like? Alan
