  1. Paid $4C for this at a record show yesterday? Picking up a Promo photo of Carol Anderson at next week's show.
  2. I know Pete ran 2 of them as I helped set up, did the door for the first couple of hours etc. Pete also ran the Wheelwrights as well.
  3. Been in Canada for 12 years and I could fill a ship with the amount of 45's by these 2 artists I have flipped through but at today's show I finally found these two. Excuse pics:
  4. Just got one of these from Toronto show today. Which is rarer issue or promo?
  5. I think you might be right now I have played it. It is on You Tube for the more curious amongst you
  6. I do not buy off ebay much but can I offer this? Value Village is a chain of department store size charity shops across Canada offering employment to people who need a helping hand. They all have records and on Saturday I made a trip around 3 of them and got the following, not all Soul but all shops have the same price, 99c for 45's, $1.99 for albums: Marshall & The Chilites - Price Of Love - Dakar September Jones - Im Coming Home - Kapp promo - !!!!!!!!! The Zephyrs - Theres Something About You - Rotate The Cherry Slush - I Cannot Stop You - USA James Bryant - Hey There You Girl - Renee - vg- only The Man Who Hears A Different Drummer - Bravura??? Who Is this? 1 album - Wanda Robinson - Black Ivory - Perception
  7. Bad Bob is now dead and his store has gone. Legend is there are 2 tractor trailers full of vinyl somewhere that used to belong to him. I have to agree that Kops is a shadow of its former glory, even in the 12 years I have been here. Saying that he does have some good stuff come through if you are there before it ships to UK. Last time it was HB Barnum - Heartbreaker on mint Canadian Capitol. Aki at Cosmos is WWWAAAYYY over priced but it pays to ask to go into his basement. Had a good score there 2 or 3 years ago. Sonic Boom is shite for 45's
  8. Took mine off the record room wall the other day as we prepare to move. Why cant you move back to US so Hitsville can come back?
  9. Not a major rarity but I bought a box of 45's from an add in the paper purely because when I got there there was a mint copy of Out On The Floor on Canadian Reo - then broke it clean in half whilst giving it a clean. Rest of the box was pop shite!
  10. Cheapsiderecords replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Just came back from selling at a local show and picked this up. I do not have any guides etc so what is the value as nobody has mentioned it above?
  11. Canadian Capitol is same colour as US but just has Made In Canada in very small print around the bottom
  12. I cannot remember the last time I heard this but I got a lovely Mint Canadian issue from the first record show of the fall at the weekend and I absolutely love it.
  13. Currently on a conference call, on mute, watching this!!! Great stuff.
  14. I was at the Earth, Wind & Fire at Bingley Hall as well. Also saw Commodores and Bob Marley there as well, but not on the same night Parliament/Funkadelic was an interesting show at Hammersmith ?? Saw Bobby Bland a few years ago in a small Blues Club in Toronto and he was f**king brilliant. Also saw Mighty Sam at the Toronto Jazz Festival in an open air concert right downtown a couple of years ago. Gladys Knight at the Niagara Casino 2 years ago was immense. I had seen her years ago but the wife had always wanted to go and her face when she started singing was worth every penny. Having moved to Canada 12 years ago I have missed all the brilliant acts that have appeared at the weekenders.
  15. Just seen this on ebay? https://www.ebay.com/itm/MARVIN-GAYE-Youre-Man-Part-1-Promo-/350490034201?pt=Music_on_Vinyl&hash=item519ad58019
  16. Anything on the "Birth" label?
  17. Jean King - Watermelon Man/The In Crowd - HBR 463
  18. Are you sure it came out on Reo? Why would they have released a Columbia 45 as Columbia had there own label?
  19. I have been watching the Gerri Graingers and it is 10 at least, all Buy It Now at $250. Definately looks like someone has found a box.
  20. Aki at Cosmos West in Toronto has a de-warper that he offers an album de-warping service but he said it was not too succesful on 45's? Not sure why, maybe heat distribution?
  21. Picked this up in a Charity shop on the way home on Friday. Anybody have a value? Decent 60's dancer with a cover of the Foundations - Now That I Found You on the other side.
  22. I have a copy, Canadian I believe. I will dig it out later if you are not sorted by then. Shipping costs may be an issue though?
  23. Any idea if this has been booted? Picked one up the other day and it looks too "new".
  24. That was where I got it from, it was a month or so ago. It didnt sell and seller is local to me and I got it off him last week at Hamilton, Ontario show for $2 with Miracles - Shop Around on striped Tamla.
