  1. Sure a marmite record. I love it. Even though I despise today's Northern 45 prices I fully understand if this copy fetches loads.
  2. The Kerston reissue is a bootleg.
  3. bump. still looking....
  4. Flipside of Sonny Parker is "what can I do". A truly wonderful beat ballad and a US low rider classic. That might be the reason for the price? It's not a record that turns up every day.....
  5. Maxine Brown-Let me give you my lovin-Wand 177 quid! Is there something I might have missed?
  6. I wonder who's the target audience for these compilations?
  7. updated and reduced.....
  8. They posted it eventually on April 30. And the records arrived safe and sound here in Germany on May 08. Don't think I ever had a 'signed for' parcel from the US delivered as fast as this time.
  9. Three very hard to find german Northern 45s: THE LOVELLES - HERE COME THE HEARTACHES/I WONDER WHY - RS (w/ PS!) NM £75 SOLD Fantastic record. Both sides solid uptempo Northern in glorious true stereo. Only way to get "Wonder why" on 45. Check the sound clip. In original sleeve (VG++) EBONEY KEYES - IF YOU KNEW - PYE (w/ PS) EX £20 £15 Neat UK produced Northern soul oldie. Still love it. Record plays great but has tiny "x" on "sitting in a ring" side. Sleeve bit worn and small "x" on front, hence VG+ grading THE SPINNERS - I'LL ALWAYS LOVE YOU - TAMLA-MOTOWN VG++ £30 £20 Oh so rare. Only the second copy I ever had. Very small and faint wol. Vinyl looks VG++ but plays EX hence grading. Wasn't released with a picture sleeve so comes in a plain white paper sleeve. ***************************************************************** P&P in Europe £5, outside Europe £9. Signed for/Insured postage available, please ask for rates. As of now I can ship to any european destination. Outside Europe please ask. 10. "standing on solid ground" - horrible record. what a synthetic backing. weak vocals. don't know about David Rhodes being a tailor-made but I really like it. One that is 100% tailor-made which I really like is Four Vandals - Wrong side of town. even though backing sounds pretty synthetic to me the melody, the lyrics, the vocals really make up for that. Hats off to Ian Levine for this one, well done!
  11. mental. freddie houston 300max IMO
  12. As Arthur Greensalde was involved, it's an UK production isn' it?
  13. Kent used to get many of their LPs pressed at a german pressing plant from (I guess) mid 80s onwards. That's why it says "made in germany" on your info sheet. However it's still an UK release.
  14. That's the one! many thanks!
  15. can anyone help please? artist and label needed of an obscure female cover version of Sly Stone's "Everyday people" - old Rob Mariott spin I believe. At least I recall I had it on a RM tape which I have misplaced unfortunately. cheers benji
  16. Bought a few records from the US end of march. before I paid for them I asked seller if shipping to Germany is ok. They said yes. Paid immediately. Couple of days ago I asked for a tracking ID. They told me they haven't send it yet because their local PO said it's too risky to send abroad. 😡 Now I have to sit and wait.....

@soulstrutter thanks for sharing. That Dee Dee Simon track is fantastic. Reminds me of Carletta Sue - You keep holding back on love.

You're spot on. Cressa definitely edited. Question is (at least for me) who edited it? Surely not the folks who did the compilation. Because, why bother to edit out 30 sec of a song? I guess the master tape they used was already edited. What do you think?
