  1. Could only play it down the phone for you old friend...but I am sure you would love it, great fast almost gritty mover with a simple arrangement and voice to die for. Top tune. Other side is a "big" Funk tune, so many copies are tucked away by the Funk collectors. New Faces 69 btw was a lbel to present winners of talent contests, never seen a new faces 68 or 70 though ? 3. Hi Karen, if you are not on about the late Sixties white Garage Group version that was up for offers not too long ago on here on acetate (still wait for a CD btw.... ) then why not buy the 7ts LP by Hayes Cotton ? It features this tune as well as his "Love Plays Funny Games" again in a 7ts treat.... if you like the sixties originla, well, I will have that in my box tonight at the 100 Club Marc
  4. Oh just how nice is this...one of my alltiime faves. I found that a while ago on youtube and sended this to my lovely girl ...so last weekend in Manchester while we were both strolling thru the 45s @ beatin rhythm she found herself this piece of magic on vinyl...how lovely is this ....getting carried away here me thinks... sorry
  5. I am fairly sure someone had a copy of this recently up for grabs on here... Marc
  6. Well, to add some info..although some may already know me...I am organizing the Hip City over here in Berlin. The Berlin Scene is made of around 50 hard core Soul Fans. The Hip City attracts normally around a 100 people and is held every second month over here in the backroom of one of the nicest pubs around, the Oscar Wilde. Since our start in 1990 we always tried to have the best DJ´s over for our guest spots (Tim Brown, Arthur Fenn, Alan Kitchener, Gary Spencer -in 1991- Butch to name just a few). Thru some hard times and good times Berlin now faces a situation where you have about at least three 6t`s /Soul events every weekend within at least one 100% Funk or Soulnight (Well, one way or the other..). Some events do attract up to 500 people. At this moment in time we have next to the Hip City two more Northern events on a regular basis (monthly) and I already heard from a mate of mine who wants to start a new monthly 6t´s R&B event...so at least from the number of events Berlin could be called "Europes main attraction 6ts and Soul-wise" I am very much looking forward to saturday and don`t know yet what I will be playing...some Soul me thinks
  7. Thanks everybody for your advises and help....helped me to come to the solution to let paypal take the money back (what is what they already did anyway and even risk a negative feedback). I don`t think I should post this guys real name (?) but will tell all of you his ebay id.. sj.clark ....Many thanks to all for your much appreciated help again Marc
  8. For the very first time ever I need advice in a case like this and would be very thankfull for any comments on this case..really don`t know (yet) what to do myself...so here it goes: I sold along other items a fairly expensive 45 on ebay recently. As with all my auctiuns it clearly stated "payment due within seven days". So the winner writes me he has problems with his paypal account and currently can`t send, so I said its okay just send one week later...he keeps on writing me about having his problems with paypal, in the end he nearly takes a month instead of seven days to send the money. Money finally gets send from this guy middle of last week and I go on my plane to travel to Manchester. After DJaying there and having a real good time upon my return yesterday I found an email from this guy telling me he will only wait until monday for the 45 to arrive (not even five days after he finally had paid after a month..!!) if not he will claim his payment back. Just remember: it is already tuesday by now...but that din`t matter at all as he already had put a claim thru paypal by friday already despite saying he will wait until monday...so naturally the next email I open and read is from paypal informing me now this guy claims his money back and paypal already had "took" the asked amount as a security...so what to do, what would you lot do ? Still send the 45 off ? Trust this guy ? Risking he will follow his unfair route and still hold on to his claim ? I am really scared now sending the 45 off...better risk a negative in this case me thinks... anyone ? Regards Marc

  13. Fab Impacts (whta a great record !) used to be 100 UK for ages but the last one I have seen was 150 UKP...bearing in mind its rarity and sheer class and comparing it with other so-called rarities it could well be some 100s more... Marc
  14. Which again ain`t too easy as WD
  15. And a great record quality wise as is her other on Duo
  16. Yep, thats right. I still have an old playlist tape by Gary with that on as the Soul Bros Six. Think in fact I have Garys old copy, at least it still has the sticker marks (..and a tear on label on the flipside ) and came to me via a closely linked dealer at one time. One in real rough condition went quite cheap lately on ebay...beside that I never seen another one for sale (although Shifty mentioned his copy to me five years ago) . One of my alltime fave NS tunes

  20. HI Russ, one version is by Gene Allison if I remember right. Don`t know who sings the third version. It came up in a conversation with another collector who told me about two other versions of this tune. I will contact him to see if we can shed more light on this and will get back
