Dave Godin cover ups at Twisted Wheel in B & S
Does anyone have a copy of the B & S article where Dave Godin visits The Twisted Wheel and talks about covering records with white labels whilst on the train journey ? It’s not one of the articles already posted up .Probably circa 1970 .Many thanks .....

Thanks for the reply Graham ,look forward to the interview when you have time

When did it become about rarity?
Yes ,Dave Godin mentions in B & S about covering up a few records with white labels on a train trip to The Wheel ,as the punters expected some “ secret sounds “ from him .I think The Ad - Libs was one ,and Tommy Sears “ Get Out “ ( Chalet ) was another .Cheers Eddie

The most expensive Northern record never played at Wigan
Yes very true .I think venues like The Highland Room were first with many records ,but after records were uncovered they tended to become more mainstream

Definitely Geese ,sounds like “ Philly Dog Around The World “ was exclusive to Levine at the Mecca for a while ,Burning Bush was a Ginger special at Cleethorpes etc for a while .There are undoubtedly loads more .cheers Eddie
